TF1 Grands Reportages

When the refinement of a palace meets the elegance of a terroir.

TF1 set up its camera between the walls of the Hôtel de Crillon, on Place de la Concorde in Paris, and the vineyards of Maison Gassier, at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire, to reveal a rare behind-the-scenes collaboration.

Alongside our oenologist Léa ROUYET and Xavier THUIZAT, France’s Best Sommelier, we came up with what he describes as “a cuvée with a unique interpretation for the Crillon”. A hexagonal bottle, a very delicate colour, an intense nose with fruity notes… A confidential cuvée, now on the menu of the palace, hailed by the expertise of Gwilherm de Cerval.

The property on Mont Sainte-Victoire continues its irresistible rise up the range.

Because “Rosé is, above all, a wine of terroir,” ideas flowed freely around the table, and conversations helped shape a new future for rosé wines. “We want to show what a ‘serious rosé’ truly is,” said Olivier SOUVELAIN.

Alongside Paul CARCENAC from Le Figaro Magazine, our General Manager Olivier SOUVELAIN had the opportunity to present the vision and the new hexagonal bottle of Maison Gassier : “The shape is hexagonal. Each of the six sides represents a generation of winemakers at the estate” a new symbol of our craftsmanship and terroir.

Maison Gassier was also proud to share the long-awaited recognition of the Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire wines as a “Cru” “a battle that had been fought for many years,” Olivier SOUVELAIN remarked.

A distinction that shines a spotlight on the passionate work of Maison Gassier.

Maison Gassier partners with Hôtel de Crillon for an exclusive rosé cuvée

Maison Gassier is honored to partner with Hôtel de Crillon to unveil an exclusive Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire rosé cuvée, a perfect blend of tradition, refinement, and innovation. A product of our unique expertise, this cuvée embodies the French art de vivre and adds an exclusive touch to the culinary experiences offered to the hotel’s guests.

An exceptional wine born from authentic craftsmanship

It is for our passion for sustainable viticulture and our expertise in rosé wines that La Maison Gassier, a renowned estate in the Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire, was chosen by the sommellerie teams of Hôtel de Crillon, led by Xavier Thuizat, Head Sommelier and Meilleur Ouvrier de France.

The cuvée « Le Pas du Moine – 350 », named after the path monks took to reach Croix de Provence, refers to the altitude of our vineyard. This wine draws its strength from the natural freshness of our terroir.

The harvest, carried out at night to preserve the freshness of the berries and prevent oxidation, along with every step of the winemaking process, is designed to maintain this freshness. Made in our historic concrete vats, this cuvée expresses with purity the authentic character of the Sainte-Victoire terroirs.

An exclusive experience to be lived in a unique setting

Le Pas du Moine – 350 rosé offers a new tasting experience to guests of the hotel’s restaurants. This cuvée, enhanced by our hexagonal bottle, is made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Rolle. This Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire rosé releases a bouquet of white peach, apricot, and violet, refreshing and thirst-quenching. It pairs perfectly with the Michelin-starred cuisine of L’Écrin or that of Nonos by Paul Pairet, creating a perfect harmony between culinary art and wine.

With this cuvée, we also celebrate the return of fine weather and the spring/summer season. Starting at the end of March, the hotel’s guests can enjoy our wine while soaking in the atmosphere of the restaurants or the tranquility of the Cour d’Honneur and Cour Gabriel.

1,200 bottles of the 2024 Hôtel de Crillon x Gassier vintage have been available at the hotel since March 15, 2025.

Maison Gassier pays tribute to its roots with a signature bottle.

Gassier unveils a new and unique bottle in the wine market, that reflects both the legacy of the maison, french craftsmanship, and an exceptional terroir.

• In 1982, Antoni Gassier acquired the 40-hectare vineyard in Puyloubier
• In 1997, his son Georges Gassier followed in his father Antoni’s footsteps
• In 2010, Olivier Souvelain joined Maison Gassier
• In 2023, Jean Gassier, the son of Georges, completed his first harvest
• In 2025, a new bottle revolutionises Gassier, paying tribute to its roots

A new bottle, a key message, a revolution in the wine market.

For the past 43 years, Maison Gassier has grown through the knowledge and passionate work of men and women, both in the vineyard and in the winery. Several key dates have marked the history of the estate. 2025 is one of them. Maison Gassier reinvents itself through a new hexagonal bottle that pays living tribute to its deep roots.

This unique 6-sided bottle embodies the 6 generations of artisan winemakers, as well as Sainte-Victoire, the majestic iconic mountain of this unique location, outlined in sculpted edges. This hexagonal design, innovative and pioneering in the wine market, is also a tribute to French craftsmanship. Every detail has been carefully thought out, including the noble and delicate «1982» engraving, the founding year of Maison Gassier at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire Mountain.

Over time, all Maison Gassier cuvées will be bottled in this new hexagonal bottle.

6 generations and one ambition: reveal the essence of an authentic territory.

The story of the Maison Gassier is one of an unwavering passion for the land, passed down through six generations. Georges Gassier, soon joined by his son Jean, continues this legacy. A heritage rooted in the 40-hectare vineyard acquired by Antoni Gassier in 1982, at the foot of the iconic Sainte-Victoire mountain.

The richness of this exceptional terroir and the potential of these precious lands have revealed themselves over the years. Nature has shaped a unique environment, offering the vines a microclimate perfect for producing fine wines, easily recognised by their distinctive character and delightful freshness.

In 2004, alongside his father and the Jeanjean family, Georges Gassier decided to broaden their understanding of the vineyard by conducting a thorough soil study. This extremely precise undertaking led to the identification of 26 micro-parcels. The artisan and the winemaker became one, crafting the unique identity of Gassier wines. The outcome is a vineyard perfectly suited to its grape varieties, highlighting limestone as the bedrock and red clay as the guiding thread.

The estate was certified organic in 2016, reaffirming Georges Gassier’s commitment to preserving this exceptional terroir and practising winegrowing in harmony with nature.

Our unbreakable bond with our land drives to invest in the territory of Sainte-Victoire daily.
