Maison Gassier’s oenologist, L\u00e9a Rouyet, is featured in an interview published by Forbes magazine.<\/h2>\n

In the latest episode of Forbes magazine’s<\/a> \u201cIn The Vines With\u201d series, presented by journalist Jenn Rice, Maison Gassier’s oenologist L\u00e9a Rouyet shares her vision of Provence ros\u00e9 and, more specifically, the Sainte-Victoire terroir. Through her work on remarkable vintages, such as Le Pas du Moine – 350<\/a> and ELEVAE, a ros\u00e9 with great aging potential, she is part of a generation of passionate winemakers committed to organic farming.<\/p>\n

“JR : Your most proud moment as a winemaker ?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

LR :<\/strong> Without hesitation, the first time I planted a vine. It was in 2016, shortly after I joined Maison Gassier. That moment made a lasting impression on me: planting a vine is not just a simple task, it is entering into a dialogue with the earth that will last for decades. These vines will carry our history and live on long after our lives as winemakers are over. It was a great moment for someone as attached to nature as I am.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Located at the foot of Sainte-Victoire, Maison Gassier benefits from an exceptional terroir classified as the C\u00f4tes de Provence Sainte-Victoire<\/a> appellation. What’s more, this spring, this terroir was officially recognized as the first Cru de Provence, the fruit and recognition of artisanal expertise. In her interview, L\u00e9a discusses what makes this terroir so unique : limestone soil, ideal for producing great ros\u00e9s, a microclimate created by the surrounding mountains – Sainte-Victoire, Monts Aur\u00e9liens, and Sainte-Baume – remarkable biodiversity and preserved ecosystems.<\/p>\n

It offers great aromatic complexity on the fruit, while maintaining a controlled elegance and a chiseled freshness.
